>12 (pronounced "More Than Twelve") is a new church, with a new way of doing church and being part of a community. For those searching for a sense of community and belonging, seeking God, but not finding fufilment, check us out and consider making More Than 12 that place in your life. For those already a part of a church or spiritual community, but wanting to continue the celebration, or wanting a place to bring their friends, we encourage you to continue in your present community, but continue the celebration with us.
We will start to do this through musical and spiritual celebrations of God's love for all of us! We call it Gospel Sundays. These celebrations are for everyone and for all ages. So if you're 2 or 92, it's all good, as long as you're open minded to God and to a fresh new way of doing church! |

This hybrid church will be developed with all the theological elements of a Biblical church. At the same time it will be a contextualized, progressive, outside of the box, grass roots movement, with the specific purpose of reaching diverse urbanites from a variety of fringe subculture, who generally would not devotedly follow Jesus, be interested in church, or think favorably of Christians.

What does that mean? What does that look like? As we explore and pray about what God is leading More Than 12 to do, we realise it cannot be said better than Bruxy Cavey from

How did this project begin? At the end of 2006, God began to give Jeff, and the Pastors at Point Grey Community Church, a vision to send Jeff to establish a new church, three years after Point Grey Community Church planted UTown church. As God revealed more of the vision it seemed that He wanted this new church to be planted by more than one church, together in a partnership that reflected the diversity of His kingdom. Since then, there has been a process of discernment, confirmation and preparation. The Point Grey Community Church and UTown Church group has approved the birthing of this new church through them. In January 2008 and the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada began supporting Jeff to plant this church. In late June 2008 the beginnings of a launch team met for the first time. |

The name came about through a collaborative team process...we prayed that God would name this church, because it is His church.

More Than 12 is seeking other churches from various denominational and ethnic backgrounds to partner with us to establish this church. If all goes well with More Than 12 potentially being launched out of the Point Grey Community Church and UTown Church organization, which is part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, but in partnership with one or more other churches.
